TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT

Nyaarla Projects provides a range of training and employment services to a varied client base. Services include:

• Development, implementation and management of training and employment programs
• Development of training and employment strategies, plans and policies
• Coordination and negotiation with key stakeholders such as relevant Commonwealth and State Government agencies, Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s) and peak industry bodies.
• Development of training courses and material
• Delivery of training courses

YOUTH SERVICES AND EDUCATION

Nyaarla Projects provides a range of youth services and education related activities, including:

• Being the training and employment service provider for the Indigenous Youth Mobility Programme (IYMP) in Perth. IYMP provides opportunities for Indigenous youth to undertake study/training in Perth. IYMP includes the provision of:
  • Career Planning and Orientation (testing and assessment)
  • Mentoring and Support Services
  • Accommodation (if required – not managed by Nyaarla)
  • Assistance with obtaining employment once the training/education is completed

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION / COMMUNITY CONSULTATION / CAPACITY BUILDING

Nyaarla Projects provides the following public participation/community consultation and capacity building/community development services:

• Facilitation of and reporting on workshops, seminars and meetings
• Management of public participation/community consultation for projects requiring consultation with the public and/or other key stakeholders
• Provision of community development / capacity building programs via training, development of organisational policies  and mentoring of staff

Both Madonna and Alan Beattie are member of the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) and both have completed the internationally recognised IAP2 Certificate in Public Participation.

Alan Beattie is also an accredited deliverer/trainer of the IAP2 Certificate in Public Participation, being the only accredited trainer in Western Australia.

The modules included in the IAP2 Certificate in Public Participation being:

• Planning for Effective Public Participation
• Effective Communication for Public Participation
• Techniques for Effective Public Participation

CONSULTING
